The House
|
|
This charming old home has been in the Chambers family for four generations. It was built by the great grand father who was a sea-captain and merchant in North Sydney at a time when the town was rich and prosperous.

Cheryl converted the family home of her late husband, Neil, in 2002. Chambers B&B is not just a business; it's her home, and a part of her history. Most of her working life has been in retail or tourism and enjoys accommodating people. She wants her guests to feel special and derives a lot of pleasure when people comment on how warm and inviting the house is and how comfortable the rooms are. | |
A stay at Chambers B&B is an invitation to step back in time: to experience a gracious hospitality, in an atmosphere of an 1880 Victorian home with it's mix of antiques & art works. You are offered 4 bedrooms that range from shared - private bath (en suite) and priced from $70 - $100, with breakfast and all taxes included.

The house is situated in the centre of North Sydney, amid a setting of mature trees and a landscape of many flower beds and stone pathways. When you arrive you may mingle with guests on the veranda or be enticed to a shaded reprieve beside the pond, to rest and relax. You are only a 3 minute drive from the Marine Atlantic Terminal, if you are taking the ferry to Newfoundland. Since many of our guests are using the ferry; late night arrivals and early morning departures are easily accommodated. We have ample parking for any size vehicle. |
